In November 2018, Steve Bannon, previously a top aide to Donald Trump, was in the UK preparing for a address at the prestigious Oxford Union.

The speech was disrupted by hundreds of protesters, and Bannon, scheduled to travel that night, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Protesters delayed speech I doubt I can make the flight we r enroute to the airport".

Epstein responded: "That. Is a gulf air departing at 9:50 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon replied: "U r an amazing helper".

These messages were released on this week alongside over 20,000 pages from the estate of Epstein, the deceased financier convicted of sex crimes.

The release by the House oversight committee includes an text conversation where Bannon's name is withheld. Media outlets has been able to confirm his involvement by cross-referencing the dates, events, and places mentioned.

For instance, Epstein discusses chartering a plane from the UK for the unnamed individual in the messages, and commends their "Oxford speech". Bannon took part in the Edinburgh conference on November 14, and gave the talk at the Oxford two days later.

Bannon, who is not accused of any misconduct, declined to comment on the request for comment.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon was one of Trump's key aides in the lead-up to the presidential election and during the initial phase of his presidency, but stepped down from the White House in 2017.

He has acknowledged he was making a film about Epstein before his passing and reportedly has approximately 15 hours of recordings. In a live taping of his podcast earlier this year, he said: "We're going to publish the film, the multi-part documentary, next year - early next year."

But the recently disclosed documents indicate Bannon's connection with Epstein went further than being his biographer, with the disgraced financier occasionally seeming to act like a personal assistant.

A few days prior to the conversation in which Epstein appeared to have arranged a private plane for Bannon, Epstein remarked: "how does it feel to have the most highly paid booking agent in history ".

Bannon expressed gratitude: "U r quite capable assistant", to which Epstein replied "Massages. Not Included".

Discussing a trip to "Abu Dhabi" in another message, Epstein assured Bannon: "I will ensure you are well looked after."

UK Politics Discussed in Messages

The published messages also reveal Bannon and Epstein discussing British political matters in that year.

On the day of his address at the Oxford Union, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I became involved in the Brexit issue this morning with Nigel, Boris and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what appears to be a allusion to the UK prime minister, the embattled British leader at the time, he added: "They are trying to move on. may today / tomorrow…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "In my view staying as long as you can uk. Best-- so others see the commitment of your follow-up."

Soon after, Epstein asked: "Can Theresa May survive". Bannon answered: "I don't see how BUT the people here have no balls" and added "Johnson ; Gove; Jacob Rees-Mogg; Davis - somebody has to take charge".

Theresa May was eventually toppled in May 2019 after surviving multiple attempts of no confidence in December 2018.

A spokesman for the political party informed the BBC: "Nigel Farage has never been in a gathering with Bannon, Rees-Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is no evidence that encounter occurred.

The US House of Representatives will decide soon on whether the justice department should make public all its files related to its investigation into Epstein, who died in prison in that year.

Attention in Epstein's associations with influential individuals was renewed this week after the publication of more than 20,000 pages from his archives.

A portion of those referenced the former president, who has consistently rejected any impropriety. The president was a friend of Epstein's for a long time, but claims they parted ways in the early 2000s, two years prior to Epstein was initially charged.
